Rev. Travis C. McQueen, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. He and his wife Sharlyna have been married for over 30 years and have been blessed with four God-fearing married sons, and six grandchildren.

Pastor McQueen holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Biblical Studies. In addition to the pastoral ministry, he is currently the Director of Spiritual Life at Cornerstone Christian Academy where he teaches Bible.

Prior to his assignment at New Hope, he and his wife served faithfully leading the AWANA children’s ministry and also facilitated 2B1 Marriage Fellowship at Good Shepherd Baptist Church with Alvenia and the late Eugene Jones.

His favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore my beloved brethren be ye steadfast, unmoveable always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord”.
